Use international recruiting software
When it comes to moving forward into unknown territory, it’s best to consult the experts. Employment recruiting software that has a focus on sourcing international talent can be a huge help to busy and overwhelmed HR teams. Here are a few of our top choices.
Jobboard finder compiles information from recruiting websites all over the world and displays this data in an easy-to-read dashboard. Pulling information from over 975 job boards and 244 countries, Jobboard finder is one of the most robust digital international recruiting systems.
As an added bonus, recruiters have the option to place job advertisements on their selected job boards, and manage their ad performance directly within the platform. Can international hiring get any easier? We don’t think so.
Specializing in sourcing tech talent, relocate.me is another powerful international recruiting tool that serves both employers and job-seekers alike. With over five years of experience and operations in more than 20 countries, Relocate.me offers a seamless process of recruiting international candidates.
Employers simply upload the details of their available positions and talent that’s interested in relocating to the employer’s country can apply. Think of it as a tech talent matchmaking service. Employers can even filter out applicants, integrate applicants into their own ATS (applicant tracking system), and keep their job posting up for three whole months! Your next international tech hire is just a click away.
Landing.jobs is another easy to use recruiting software that focuses on international tech talent. They own their distribution channels, which means that when you post your job ad, they distribute it throughout their channels and network of qualified tech talent, helping you find the right fit quicker and simpler.
They source talent from all over the world, so you’ll have a wider range of talent to interview and, ultimately, hire. Landing.jobs even provides support with writing your job posting to better attract international candidates. They also offer seamless integration with a variety of applicant tracking systems, giving you one less thing to worry about.
Build your engineering team with Honeypot’s international applicant pool. Honeypot operates in a similar fashion to the above listed software, but it also brings something unique to the table: automation. For busy HR teams, this is a dream feature. Employers simply post their job details, and Honeypot automatically matches them with international tech talent and delivers this list directly to your inbox every Monday. It’s really that simple.
Honeypot also has a rigorous candidate screening process, with only 10% of applicants making it into their robust talent pool. They screen each candidate with a coding test and an in-depth phone call, making sure you have access to the best of the best from around the world.
Leverage social media
It’s 2020. So, we’re pretty sure it’s safe to assume that we’re all familiar with the power of social media. However, it can also be a great tool to find international talent for your company.
With over 250 million active monthly users, LinkedIn is where your job ad needs to be. Sharing your available job(s) on LinkedIn might surprise you. Your network might know the perfect fit, and asking your company’s employees to share the posting on their networks might yield great results. LinkedIn also provides a great opportunity for applicants to learn more about the role, the company, and the current team members.
Join Slack communities
We all know the benefits of Slack for company-wide remote communication, remote workplace collaboration, and internal team management. Slack is also becoming a powerful tool to connect outside of work. Job searching and job posting is no exception. Here are just a few Slack communities tailored to international employment opportunities. For a more comprehensive list of international Slack communities for tech professionals, check out Toggl Track’s list on candidate sourcing from Slack.
Slofile is a database of Slack communities you can use to search for talent based on the unique requirements of your available role.

Optimize your job posting
Sometimes, it’s the most important details that we forget. No matter which option listed above that you use, your job posting will ultimately be the one place candidates turn to to evaluate whether or not to apply. It’s the most critical part of successfully attracting international talent.
Here’s what you absolutely must include.
Your relocation package details
Forgetting to include the details of your relocation package, or worse - not mentioning that you have one at all, is a recipe for disaster. If a candidate wants to relocate to your country, outlining exactly how your company will help make that happen is critical. Include the following information:
- Adaptation tips. How will you help your new hire assimilate into their new lifestyle, city, and culture?
- Financial support. Will you cover the cost of relocation? Provide a stipend to help cover first month’s rent or temporary housing?
- Travel costs. Does your company plan on paying for the candidate (and their family, if applicable) to come for an on-site visit?
- Visa services. How does your company plan to help make the relocation process as simple and smooth as possible for the candidate?
- Post-relocation support. Do you plan on helping your new hire find local hospitals, schools, government agencies, and recreational activities? Who can they turn to if something goes wrong with their immigration process?
Your company’s location
This should go without saying, but we don’t like to leave anything to chance! Besides, how else would your candidate know if your city is on their dream relocation list? It’s an added bonus if you include a video highlighting your city’s main attractions, or a list of your employees’ favorite local activities.
Now that you’re armed with a myriad of ways to find international talent, let’s focus on the step that ties it all together: international talent relocation. Make your life, and your HR team’s lives, easier by working with a relocation partner well-versed in the complexities and intricacies of relocating talent to your country.
