I already have a valid Schengen short-stay visa issued by another Schengen state and this time I want to go to France. Do I need a new visa?

A Schengen visa (issued by an embassy or consulate of a Schengen state) is valid for all 27 Schengen states, unless otherwise stated on the visa sticker.If the visa is still valid, visa holder do not need another visa to travel to France. However, they need to be in possession of supporting documents relating to the reason of stay and  means of subsistence after arrival in France

I hold a residence permit in France, but I have lost it. Do I need a visa?

Foreigners who hold a residence permit in France and have reported the document lost or stolen to the local authorities must apply for a return visa at the consulate in order to be able to re-enter France. Foreigners who hold a French residence permit are therefore advised to keep it in a safe place when they travel abroad.

Candidate holds a residence permit for France. Do they need a visa?

If they hold a valid residence permit authorizing  to reside in France, they are exempted from the entry visa. However, if  family members do not hold a residence permit, they must be in possession of a visa, unless exempt.
