Explore UK Skilled Worker VisaThe tool runs the same dual test UKVI applies. Once you enter the SOC code, the going rate column, the salary option and the offered pay, it works out two figures: the general cash floor for the option you selected, and 100% of the going rate for that SOC code, pro-rated to your contracted hours. The minimum required is the higher of the two.
It then compares your offered salary against that minimum and against the £17.13 hourly-rate test, and returns a pass or fail verdict with the binding factor shown so you can see at a glance whether it was the cash floor or the going rate that set the number. Results are indicative; for a specific application, Jobbatical's UK immigration specialists can validate the figures against your CoS draft.
Every figure is drawn from the published Home Office rules in force from 22 July 2025:
Yes. Going rates are published on a 37.5-hour week, so the tool pro-rates the going rate to the contracted hours you enter fewer hours lower the going-rate component, but the general cash floor for the option still applies in full regardless of hours.
It also runs the £17.13 hourly-rate test on the offered salary, which can be the deciding factor for roles with long contracted hours or pay near the lower thresholds. The result flags when an offer clears the annual minimum but fails on the hourly floor, so you catch the issue before assigning the CoS.
The calculator reflects the 2026 going rates and thresholds in force from 22 July 2025, read directly from Appendix Skilled Worker and Appendix Skilled Occupations. It is built to catch the most common salary errors before a Certificate of Sponsorship is assigned, and the minimum required, binding factor and hourly-rate result are shown so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
Results are indicative only. UK immigration rules change frequently, discounted figures are derived from the published going rate, and lower-rate cash floors can differ from the standard thresholds so confirm borderline cases against the current gov.uk figures or ask Jobbatical's experts to validate the numbers for a specific case.
