The Netherlands ICT permit is the intra-corporate transferee residence permit under EU Directive 2014/66/EU, for non-EU managers, specialists, and trainees transferred by their employer from a group company outside the EU to a Dutch entity in the same corporate group. It is a single work-and-residence permit issued by the IND for the duration of the company assignment. Jobbatical manages the full ICT application for employers.
The minimum salary for the Netherlands ICT permit in 2026 is EUR5,942 gross per month for managers and specialists aged 30 and over, and EUR4,357 gross per month for those under 30, both excluding the 8% holiday allowance. Trainee employees must meet the under-30 threshold. These are the Dutch Highly Skilled Migrant levels; verify current figures with the IND before submission.
The intra-corporate transferee residence permit is issued for the length of the company assignment, up to a maximum of three years for managers and specialists and one year for trainees. It is not renewable beyond those limits. However, your employee can switch during the permit's validity to another route such as the Highly Skilled Migrant permit or EU Blue Card to stay longer - Jobbatical tracks these deadlines for your HR team.
If your Dutch entity is a recognised sponsor with the IND, ICT applications qualify for a fast-track procedure with a decision often within around two weeks. Where the employer is not a recognised sponsor, the IND refers the case to the UWV for labour-market advice and the statutory decision period is up to 90 days. Jobbatical coordinates recognised-sponsor status to keep your intra-corporate transfer moving.
Yes. Holders of the Netherlands ICT permit can work short-term in other EU Member States within the same corporate group for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a separate authorisation, under EU intra-corporate mobility rules. Longer assignments in another Member State require a long-term mobility application there. Jobbatical advises HR teams on structuring multi-country company assignments compliantly.
To start a Netherlands ICT permit case, your company provides the transfer agreement or assignment letter, proof that the sending and receiving entities belong to the same corporate group, and evidence the transferee was employed by the sending entity for the qualifying period. Jobbatical handles the rest - eligibility assessment, document collection, IND filing, and compliance tracking - so your HR team's involvement stays minimal.
